Jiro Inagaki- 1933 - 2008 Hasami-cho Higashisonogi-gun Japan

After the art academy he studied art at the Musasino Art University where he made a special study of the modern Western art.

Jiro Inagaki bases his artistic motivation on the hand made production of paper. On his home island Kyushu, several art studios are established where paper is made in the age-old Japanese tradition. Jiro Inagaki based his production methods on a thorough study of its principles in the belief of organic material compatibility. The composition’s are conceptional and originate always from wet layers of paper pulp.
